The Buddha
Maitreya Center is dedicated to the study and practice of
Tibetan Buddhism. We are affiliated with the Foundation for the
Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), and are under the
guidance of Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche.
We are located in
Northampton, MA. We meet once a week during the fall and spring semesters in a private home to listen to recorded Buddhist teachings, discuss the content and to meditate on Buddhist themes. Throughout the year we regularly host visiting FPMT teachers in collaboration with our sister centers, the Kurukulla Center in Boston and the Milarepa Center in Barnet, VT.
